In-Country Managing Director
Seeking a visionary and passionate Sierra Leonean leader to serve as Managing Director for a Community Based Organization (CBO) that utilizes business approaches to improve the quality of life for those living in extreme poverty in rural villages in Kailahun District.

Requirements
- Sierra Leonean National
- BA/BS degree, Master’s degree preferred
- 5 or more years of post-graduate experience
- Technical expertise in Education, WASH, Agriculture, or Income Generation
- Deep understanding of training
- Strong communication ability. Fluent in oral and written English, Fluent Mende speaker
- Strong computer literacy
- High level of integrity and honesty
- Ability to live simply in a rural environment
Responsibilities
Program Leadership and Management
- Plan and implement all programs
- Lead strategic discussions
- Implement new program procedures
- Lead expansion efforts
- Find improvements and efficiencies for the benefit of the organization
Operational Effectiveness
- Oversee finances
- Pursue funding through in-country proposals
- Design and implement all administrative and operational policies
- Ensure the organization meets all local legal requirements
- Ensure systems are in place to eliminate areas of risk
Networking and Partnerships
- Maintain good networking relationships with governmental authorities, travelers, interns, donors, other local practitioners and the general public
- Coordinate strategic partnerships with local and national organizations
Requirements:
